Playdate w/o Ma

Thanks SOO much Mistie for watching my little stinker whilst I was at work the other day!

Olivia got to spend the whole day playing with Avery last week, lucky girl. She adopted Mistie straight away and even got jealous when Avery tried to claim her own mother...what a stinker. Good thing Avery is so kicked back, she let Livi borrow her Mom all day! Here is some of their fun day together:

The Pick Up/Drop Off: Johnny met Mistie Half-way (with not much notice--sorry Mistie) and Traded Olivia for Mistie's car to do some work on it! Here they are, don't they look so cute in there together?

Here's the eatin' situation. Mistie claims that Olivia didn't make a mess, I don't believe her but if this is truly the case I might just have to keep Mistie around during mealtimes ALWAYS. Olivia is a total destroyer at my house.

Fun Day at the Park for Lunch! Man Mistie is brave AND well prepared to take them both to the park, with lunch and all! STRONG work. They're so cute.

It's hard to play all day, it just tickers you right out. Zonked in the car after the park.

My favorite part of the day was the updates I got every couple of hours at work. Anything funny that was going on I was sure to know about it, every time Mistie called Angel would just Laugh, "it's Mistie...Again!"

We owe you BIG time, can't wait to have Avery all to ourselves :)

Ashes, Ashes Falling Down

We are locked indoors this afternoon! There is a fire on South Mountain in the same area that we rode our motorcycle the other weekend. The air is the muggiest I've seen it in a long while and the few short seconds that I went outside to take these pics made these old lungs burn and it was hard to breathe for this asthma girl. I can't believe how many ashes are already falling and how fast that fire got out of hand. We were out and about earlier this afternoon and got back only a couple of hours ago to blue skys and birds chirping! Now it's greyness all around and ashes, ashes falling down. Our deck looks like it has recently snowed! This just reminds me of all the things that I am thankful for: a nicely sealed home, central air and beautiful mountains, and nice air to play outside!

Life's a Beach

This is our make-shift Beach here in the mainland!

Johnny is in the process of cementing the bottom of the dog run...Cemented Dog Run = NO more digging, just wearing down of the nails instead~sorry Kiya, cleaner dogs and a happier mommy! It will be nice to have the dog run cemented so the floor will stay slightly cooler for the dogs in the summer and warmer for the pups in the winter! Johnny went to the gravel pit just seconds from our home and got an entire truck load of sand for his project. Me and Livi thought we'd sneak some sand while he wasn't looking! What a great Idea...her very own sandbox! Let me just tell you it's a hit, if you haven't tried this one yet, I totally recommend it. Thanks DAD!

Sneak Peek

Di & I are working on expanding our Baby Bumpkins line. We wanted to include boy goods as well so we are now working on onesies. Just today Di ordered some really cute skull fabric & we have some great ideas. As of today this is what we have so far. We have a zillion ideas & hope to do matching hair clips with onesies too. For now this is a sneak peek, keep in mind these are just prototypes the real ones will be better with tons of choices to choose from!

Happy Birthday AVERY

One of Olivia's BFF's had her 1st Birthday Party this weekend. We weren't able to make it and wanted to give a shout-out to Avery and tell her HAPPY BIRTHDAY :) We love you!

3 JOYS
1. Olivia Rae. She is the sweetest, cutest and funniest little thing that has happened to me. She makes my days happy and I can't imaging life without her! We Love her to death.
2. Johnny Jo. I couldn't have had Olivia without Johnny Jo. He too makes me happy and feel loved and we have soo much fun together. He keeps my life adventurous and exciting!
3. Exercise. I love to get out and get my sweat on! Exercise is important to my overall well being and happiness. I love the feeling after a good long weight session or run! There is nothing like those endorphins!
4. Had to add a fourth because I couldn't pass up the mega Joy of living so close to Grandma and Grandpa! I love our new neighborhood and being soo close to the mountains and fun jogging paths and hills and also being soo close to my moms house...only a 1/2 mile away. Olivia is SO lucky to have such an amazing and fun G-ma and G-pa so close to where she lives! We love you :)
3 FEARS
1. Having something happen to me that would disable me from doing normal, everyday, enjoyable things. I often go about my daily duties and adventures and not take time to appreciate my abilities and how blessed I am to have such a wonderful life and functioning physical body!
2. Being Badly Burned.
3. Having anything happen to my child or losing a close loved one.
3 Facts
1. I LoVE the sound of the Dishwasher and the Washing Machine, it sounds SO clean!
2. I am currently obsessed with Baby Bumpkins and new ideas and projects to work on. I love buying new felt, fabric and any other crafty type of item.
3. I am an ANIMAL lover and have had many pets in my day. We've owned many cats (not all at once) Tilly, Muffy, Taffy, Freebosh-a stray that I insist we keep, Morris-another stray I insisted we keep even though he had a fatal case of disturbingly gross WORMS. I owned a red-eared slider turtle named Ricoh and we also had homing pigeons, a rooster and a hen and last but not least my awesome dogs Kiya and Thor. I once tryed adopting a Ferrel breeder Chinchilla, named Saturn, that Johnny found in an engine of a car. I again insisted Saturn come home so I could love him (an engine is NO way to live) and let's just say he didn't stay long, after drawing much of my blood his many attempts to flee finally were successful! I don't watch sad animal shows, I hate all horse movies, and I cannot go to the pound. When I was young my family barely hit a deer on a family road trip and I cried for hours and forced my dad to drive at an INCREDIBLY slow speed the remainder of the trip home. So I am a soft-hearted SUCKER for animals, what can I say?
4. I love shooting guns and going fast. I like being dangerous and getting an adrenaline rush, but I still look so good doing it! *;)

Hog Sunday

Johnny got a new Hog. It's sweet and it's saving us oodles of $$ on GAS. After spending over $1000 in gas a month we decided to make this little investment to improve our money situation, and of course Johnny was ALL OVER this one! (On ONE condition of course, that it have a seat for me!) It's a Harley Nightster and I look really good on it. Example:

Last Sunday we dropped Olivia off at Uncle CJ and Auntie Di's house to play with Nessa, so that we could start our new Sunday tradition motorcycle ride! (THANKS again CjandDi for watching our little squirt, we had such a blast!) We rode over South Mountain where you can see the entire beautiful Salt Lake Valley from one side and Utah Valley from the other side of the mountain! It was such a fun ride and I found that I love when other bikers waved to us (ha ha). This bike is like an automatic ticket to a secret club...we're totally in it now. Good thing I don't own my own bike because I might ruin this secret club thing and wave to EVERYONE, man I can be so friendly sometimes.

On Your Mark...

Jane, Angel, Duane, Me and Caryn ran another race! This time it was the City Creek Canyon Half Road/Half Trail. It was a TON of fun, great weather, perfect temp, fun friends and lots of sweat...which always feels good in the manana! I've never "officially" raced a trail run--UPHILL, but we'd been practicing for a couple weeks and we did great. There is nothing like being in the beautiful mountains on a saturday morning, all for some sweet racin' exercise!

Halloween Clips

Hey everyone, in case you haven't looked at our site lately we've come up with some new Halloween Fuzzy Bumpkin clippies that I think turned out cute. Along with these Halloween ones we also have our Baby Bumpkin clippies that aren't felt, smaller but just as cute. Also want to thank anyone whose put our button logo on their page or has spread the word. We really appreciate it.

We'll be making more adorable fall/holiday clippies within the next week or two.

It's NOT Funny Anymore!

Okay now, for the past few weeks Johnny and I (and anyone who comes over) have been finding some "Little Fella's" trying to make our basement their home, today within a 15 minute time period....I found these FOUR spiders & TWO ugly beetles:

It's NOT Funny Anymore. It's Gross and it's makes me paranoid, itchy and want to wear shoes in my own house. I do enjoy killing them, this is the only pleasing thing that comes of this ugly creature. If I don't control this problem soon Olivia will be trying to catch them (as she does many other bugs--ants & potato bugs) . I don't want to find her with a few spiders in her hand, some in her belly and a couple of their legs in her mouth. What then?

What is this world coming to? and why do the bugs have to be SO BIG??
