Tulip Festival and Dutch Days

Cj, Di & Nessa, Jess, Paul & Cohan and Olivia & I ventured out into the cold wind and rain to go to the Tulip Festival This weekend, they also had tents set up and food of all sorts for "Dutch Days". Olivia had a lot of fun, but when we saw the lake ("pool") and the Waterfall all she wanted to do from there on out was "Swim, Swim, Swim". The Tulips and the grounds were beautiful!! I can only imagine what it'd all look like in the sunshine!

First Discovery!

We had our first Discovery Gateway experience last weekend and it is AwEsOmE! We spent 3 hours there and left feeling like we need to go back ASAP! Avery & Olivia really hit it off this time and Olivia has NOT stopped talking about "Ave-we" all weekend! She is IN Love.

We played in Water, put balls into holes, played on a real helicopter, played music, grocery shopped, played with parachutes, puzzles and games, drove a car and even saw aunt Brenda and 2nd cousins Wyatt & Brynnly!!

I don't know who had more fun....Me or Liv!

She's a BiG GiRL Now!

Sunday Morning.

Hear a big THUD in my sleep. Think nothing of it.

Hear a door handle (still asleep) don't think much of it.

Hear a happy little voice in my room say "Ground!"

Oh, okay I'm awake now.

"Hello, Olivia. In my room. haha. Did you get out of your crib?!"

Olivia: "YEP!"

I asked her "Do you want a big girl bed for your birthday?" She thought about it, then said "Umm...NO, Bike!"

Smart kid.
HAHA :)

Soo, ANOTHER attempt at nap time (just an attempt this time, I caught her dangling on the outside of her crib :) means...some little girl gets a big girl bed!!
Olivia LOVES her bed! Thanks to my sis, we ran down to her house that same day to borrow one she had in storage. Livi could hardly wait for me to put it together. (Seriously, HARDLY). She even "helped me" set it up! The Tiny BIG bed has been a success! Liv has gone to bed no problem the last two days in it and has found herself very independent ever since the switch. Everything is "No, ME!!".
*I'm just glad she'll still give me kisses...since I'm not needed anymore! :) *

Salt Lake Half Marathon!

We Trained, We Ran, We Conquered!

Duane, Greg, Myself and Jackie all willed ourselves awake at 4:30 am to take Trax and make it downtown to the 7am start of the Salt Lake City Marathon, and...It was actually worth it!

Johnny was out of town last weekend so I shipped Olivia-Bolivia off to my Sister Tami's and invited Jack-o (my old school BFF) over for a SLuMbEr PaRtY!! Well...kind-of, we actually hit the sack around 10pm so we could wake up in the morning but it was soo fun hanging out like old times with Jack...love that girl.

The Race was great, I felt really good throughout...until about Mile 12--it was uphill. I pushed my way through it and mentally blacked out during the 13th mile so that I could actually run (not walk) through the finish line! :) The weather was amazing (perfect for running) and I was very happy with my Finishing time 2:08:33, not bad for my first Half-Marathon! Next year I will probably win first place! Watch out Mr. Ethiopia!

I'm Alive! Happy Easter Everybody! :)

It's been a BUSY couple of months...but I'm alive!
Hope you had an excellent Easter! Here's what the Miller Clan did for fun...

Makin our way to our Annual Easter Egg Roll, in an undisclosed location:

Livi's turn to roll:
My Turn!
J-man's killer moves!
The Roll Results! Nancy the winner of the Regular Class, Katy and J-man tie for 1st in the Unlimited Class!
Uh-oh, she's already driving!
Let me introduce you to The Miller Tryke Gang.
Johnny, Me, Jake, Katy and Ben rode Trykes down Squaw Peak Canyon Road Easter and man, oh man, IT WAS SOO FUN! We got hauled up to the top of the canyon tied to the dune buggy and let loose to make our way down on these adult size trykes that the Millers own! KILLER. We got going sooo fast, gotta be careful because those back wheels are meant for drifting baby! The best Part is when Jake endo-ed over the handelbars after taking a turn too fast and ended up 10 feet down a revene. Where was my camera on that one? haha. Hard to see cause it was getting dark by the time we decided to pull out the camera...doh.
Eat My Dust. (Yep That's me)
Taking it off-road, to the wall...that's how I roll!
HOPE YOU ALL HAD AN EXCELLENT EASTER! Stay Tuned. I promise to keep posting!! Thanks Jayna for the motivation :)
