Why Not?

So...my awesome sister-in-law bought a little pool for her 4 neices while she babysat for an entire week...why not, right? When the week was done, she shipped the kids home and shipped that pool straight to me! Woohoo Free Pool! It might be a little crumpled and won't stand up straight, but it still holds WATER and what do we love best in the summer, uh huh!!

Di's adorable little Vanessa got some pics taken at the quick pic shop, she was so smiley and cute that her cousin Cohen had to take a stab at it! Look at these two, aren't they cute? Man I love those grins!

Bones Bikes

Johnny and his brother Ben and BFF CJ have started their own bike company. They take beach cruiser bikes & add motors to them. So Clever, I know. They have two motor sizes, the 50cc grocery getter which will do about 30 to 35 mph, and the 80cc law breaker which will do about 45mph. It's similar to a moped but 100 times cooler. They have different styles of beach cruisers, but can retrofit the motor to just about any bike. They started a website which is: http://www.bonesbikes.net/ here you'll be able to see photos of a few of the bikes they have built (the site is a little rough right now but it has more details about the motors & what not). They plan on getting these in some local bike shops in the near future, but as of right now it's been by word of mouth and they are selling well & fast. Did I mention they are FUN???

Friends

Once a week I watch my sister Tami's darling Girls, Ashlyn and Alexa, while she is at work. There are two little neighbor girls that just adore A and A and are ALWAYS on the look-out for them, the neighbor girls are at my doorstep the moment my neices arrive. These girls have LOTS of fun together!

O's new found LoVe

The sprinklers, Olivia is obsessed with the sprinkers. She is constantly pointing to the windows or doors saying "side, side" which means "outside". While outside she does the sign for water and points to the hose! She has just discovered that she LoVeS pools, streams, puddles, or even a mist. We've been taking Olivia to the pool a lot this summer, she also goes to watch her cousins swimming lessons & plays in the water once a week with them. Who'd a thought my nervous little O would be a water baby?

Happy 4th of July

July 4th is always one of my favorite holidays, first and foremost because we celebrate our independence and patriotism but secondly it's because it's my Mom's most favorite holiday ALL year. Boy does she get into it with all of the flags and music and the red, white and blue. I love seeing my Mom so happy and that is why I love the 4th. Thirdly, (and this is in NO particular order) it's DI's BIRTHDAY! That's right my BFF Di was born on the 4th of July, what a cool birthday, everybody already has the day off work and is partying...every year! And I won't forget to mention all of the people who blow stuff up and do giant fireworks shows just for her...and our country! Happy Birthday Di, love ya.

It was a fun holiday this year, low key, nothing too extravaggant. Got together with both the Fam's on two different days and did our own fireworks in the street. Olivia really like the somewhat quiet colorful fireworks but hated the incredibly loud, screaming ones the first night. Good thing those home-made shows never last long. The second night she was more used to the idea and didn't really cry...was more mezmorized and interested in the fireworks! Overall, a success and a REALLY fun time hanging out with family and all of Olivia's cousins! What a blast...so to speak :)
