He Has Risen, and She Is Walkin'

+ = Easter.

Saturday was a fun day for the Miller Fam! It started with Rylee's #1 Birthday party (Happy Birthday Ry) followed by a family Easter Egg Hunt at Ma-mom and Pa-pops house! Olivia was SO excited to hunt those Easter eggs she didn't even notice that Johnny had let go of her hand...off she went! She walked all across the yard by herself! It's official...she walks :o) Johnny and I were so excited when she took off that I didn't even think to get a video of her talent, I could barely manage to get the cap off of the camera in time. We are so proud of her and at 10 months, extraordinary (especially considering the family history). As a baby, I didn't even bother to crawl until I was 11 months old, some call it lazy I call it efficient. My siblings would bring me whatever I wanted I didn't need to waste my own energy!

Ma-mom bought Olivia the cutest little (tiny) Easter basket you have ever seen. She carried it around all day with her precious eggs inside. Olivia is completely fascinated with things that stack, open and close and when smaller things fit inside bigger things, etc. needless to say the plastic Easter eggs and the basket were a total hit! She is at such a fun age, I don't want to miss anything because she's growing up so fast!

Now that Olivia is walking I cringe thinking of all the bumps and bruises to come in the near future, is a helmet going to be my next purchase? :)

On another note:

We had some friends over Easter Sunday for some delicious kabobs on the barbie. Babies Vanessa and Cohen came out to the BBQ as well but they decided to stick with the milk! It was SO fun to play with the babies and to see them together for the first time! We LOVE finally seeing our good friends CJ & Di and Jess & Paul as parents, they're awesome! We had such a great time enjoying the babies, the spring weather, our new deck and yard & our first ever BBQer (THX Tami and Dan).

There is nothing like it, when spring has sprung and you can enjoy it with good friends!

Hiyah!

The other night Johnny and I invited my sister Leanna and her family over for dinner, it was great to have them here at our new house and to make some yummy food to share! After dinner Johnny sucessfully outfitted Leanna's two boys Jay and Gordon with much of his endless fight gear! Hiyah! Those boys had such a blast punching eachother (it's okay with the gear on, right?)and they were so cute making fighting noises and funny faces!

WELCOME TO EARTH, BABIES!

For those of you who don't know: These cute babies are cousins and they were born on the same day just hours apart! WOW...what a day for Jess and Cj's Mom, welcome to grandparenthood, two babies at once! Congrats to Paul's parents and Di's parents as well!

This is the craziest thing: While Jess and Paul were waiting in the waiting room for little Vanessa to be born (which was not an easy task for Vanessa or her Mom!) Jessica ran into some hard labor pains of her own and had to rush to another hospital where "Small Paul" was born just a few hours later! Jessica never got to hold Di's baby before her own came and they are dying to meet eachothers new little additions. How fun, these kiddos will have the same birthday, March 15th, and will hopefully be great friends, NOT kissing cousins! (ha ha) As for Olivia she is absolutley thrilled about her TWO new little buddies and can't wait to share her crackers and stacking cups with them! We're excited to report that both of these sweet babies are healthy and going home Monday morning!

Instructions For New Parents

I've been thinking a lot about my Friends CJ and Di & Jess and Paul they are both days away from becoming new parents and we can hardly wait! They're probably 'mostly' ready for the baby to come by now but here is a great link that has some crutial intructions on how to take care of a baby, some last minute things to really make sure you're ready! Make sure your men check this out too i'd say it's mostly for them, they don't have those motherly instincts that we are blessed with. Also a great thing to print out in case you Moms leave Baby at home with Daddy! :)

This Post is to pay tribute to all of those adorable PEARLY WHITES out there! Olivia is now 10 months old and we haven't seen any teeth yet, if she's anything like her Mom we won't see them for another 5 months! She doesn't seem to mind and gums down all her food, no problem but we just want to spot light all of Olivia's close friends that DO have those adorable little teeth!
